In our history, I’ve seen first hand what war does to people. It takes off limbs, destroys lives and for most, it scares those that are too weak to fight into submission. We have a colonial past, not only France, Spain, UK, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Denmark and the Netherlands, but also the United States. Our colonial past is catching up to us in a bad way and how we specially treated our Muslim and Arab populations. The same has to happen in China, Muslims need to feel part of, or if not you’ll have more Kunmings.
Today I received the news like most of you of the Paris attacks, mon belle Paris, after 10 months was attacked again. One-hundred and twenty people lost their lives. When will it stop… Let me tell you when. When we learn through education tolerance and allow our Muslim and Arab societies to blend in equally into our populations without discrimination or prejudice. Also, it will stop when most Muslim countries begin to educate the lower classes and teach them that all classes are equal. Violence solves nothing, I learnt this first hand.
The brutality and the way it was devilishly planned. We cannot step down and now more than ever fight against those that use terrorism to take away our sole right to live. For this reason, I’ve always loved the words of Edmund Burke:
“Evil will triumph when good men do nothing!”
Take care and remember to at least observe three minutes of silence on behalf of the victims. I know we are busy and we have our ‘selfie’ lives to get back to, and there are no words to say… How deeply sorry I am for the victims.
Be safe, yours,
