Hangzhou will recruit student volunteers from 15 local universities and colleges to serve the G20 Summit in 2016.
Recruitment work will start tomorrow at Zhejiang University, Zhejiang University of Technology, Zhejiang Normal University and other colleges. Students with German, French, Spanish and Arabic language skills are most favored.
Application deadline is February 1, 2016 and the first round of interview will be held before March 9. About 4,500 candidates will undergo service training before a second round of interview on April 15.
All recruitment work will be finished before August 27 and the G20 Summit will take place in the city from September 4 to 5.
Ordinary citizens can also work as volunteers at scenic spots, museums and public transport stations. The city government has released a mobile app for volunteer application.
