Hangzhou will launch a public credit information platform, which will be connected with Alibaba’s Internet credit system, next month, officials said yesterday.
The platform will collect citizens’ credit data in activities such as renting public bicycles and shopping activities.
From October, the platform will also offer looking up services for public credit information of companies and public agencies.
Citizens can use their citizen cards at citizen card outlets to obtain information on the platform.
Information in the platform will first be used for government purchase, project bidding, background check and government grants.
A regulation on lawful use of the credit information is also being drafted by the city’s development and reform commission.
