Zhejiang Mapping Material Archives has recently released the world’s first dedicated mobile tour guide and shopping guide map through mobile e-commerce technologies, providing more convenient and thoughtful services for the tourists to the city. The service is also expected to transform the traditional map press landscape by applying their expertise through mobile e-commerce means. The map will be sold at railway stations, subway stations and bookshops starting from next week.
Besides basic geographical information, the new map will also include introduction to scenic spots, restaurants, hotels, leisure facilities and local specialty stores that might be interesting to tourists. Next to each piece of introduction there is a colored icon named “Kaka Code”. Map users will only need to download a mobile app to purchase the products or services specified on the map and make the payment.
In particular, local specialty stores will deliver the products to the requested addresses, so tourists no longer need to carry the gifts home. For those who have purchased services on their mobile phones, they only need to produce the evidence of payment to receive the services.
Developed by a Hangzhou-based mobile e-commerce platform service provider, the mobile app established a connection between online and offline resources. This makes it easy for traditional enterprises to operate e-commerce businesses and saves the huge costs of building websites, hiring professionals and purchasing data traffic, which helps reduce business operation risks, maximizing the use of their resources, enlarge their business scope and improve their financial performance. The platform, which has formed partnership with a large number of traditional media, physical stores and famous enterprises, has been experiencing a very fast development.
The Archives plans to promote the service in more cities in the province after gaining some operation experience this year. The innovative business model is expected to achieve a leading market presence as the mobile e-commerce market has just started to expand.
