Hangzhou residents can look up their credit status from today as the city’s public credit information platform, tested online since October, is officially open.
Locals aged over 18 can use their citizen or ID cards to check their credit status in a citizen ID card service center close to their homes.
The public credit information platform provides a person’s profile, including loan payment, government awards received, and administrative or criminal punishments.
If people have an objection to what is written in their profile, they can apply for data correction. Relevant departments will double check and reply within 30 days.
To apply for data correction, people must bring their citizen ID card, a photocopy of the ID card, a filled application form, and proof documents to a citizen ID card service center. More information is available by dialing service hotline 96225.
