Hangzhou weathermen yesterday warned of more rainstorms this week as three typhoons are forming in the western Pacific and will bear on China’s coastal provinces.
Three tropical cyclones, Nangka, Chan-Hon and Linfa, are moving northwest and may have some impact on the city, according to the Hangzhou Meteorological Bureau.
Though it is too early to give an accurate forecast, the meteorologists reminded people to take precautions because the typhoons are likely to change direction.
Even without the typhoons, Hangzhou will remain wet and cool this week as the plum rain season continues. More showers are expected today and tomorrow with a high of 21 degrees Celsius.
The rain will continue intermittently throughout the week and the mercury will slowly climb on Wednesday to a high of 30 to 32 degrees on Saturday and Sunday, the bureau said.
