Two foreigners in summer shorts walk in a Hangzhou street yesterday afternoon when the mercury shot up to 28.4 degrees Celsius. It was the warmest day in March since 2009, breaking the previous record of 26.9 degrees. But a cold front will invade the city tonight, bringing gale-force winds and an abrupt drop in temperature by about 10 degrees Celsius. The coming weekend is expected to be sunny with temperatures between 5-15 degrees.
